HOW-TO: Change your default browser

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to change your default browser on different operating systems:

Windows 10 & 11

  1. Open Settings:
    • Click on the Start Menu and then on the Settings icon (it looks like a gear).
    • Alternatively, you can press Windows + I to open the Settings directly.
  2. Go to Apps:
    • In the Settings window, click on Apps.
  3. Default Apps:
    • In the left-hand menu, click on Default apps.
  4. Web Browser:
    • Scroll down to the Web browser section.
    • Click on the current default browser. A list of installed browsers will appear.
  5. Select New Browser:
    • Select the browser you want to set as the default from the list.
  6. Confirmation:
    • You might be prompted to confirm your choice. If so, click Yes or OK.

macOS

  1. Open System Preferences:
    • Click on the Apple Menu in the top-left corner of your screen.
    • Select System Preferences.
  2. Go to General:
    • In the System Preferences window, click on General.
