HOW-TO: Change your desktop background

Changing your desktop background is a straightforward process that varies slightly depending on your operating system. Here are the steps for Windows, macOS, and Linux:

Windows

  1. Windows 10/11:
    1. Right-Click Method:
      1. Right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize.”
      2. In the “Background” section, you can choose your background by selecting:
        • Picture: Click “Browse” to choose an image from your computer.
        • Solid color: Choose a color from the list.
        • Slideshow: Click “Browse” to select a folder with images for a slideshow.
      3. Adjust the fit (Fill, Fit, Stretch, Tile, Center, Span) if necessary.
    2. Settings Method:
      1. Press Win + I to open Settings.
      2. Go to “Personalization” > “Background.”
      3. Choose your background as described above.
  2. Windows 7/8:
    1. Right-Click Method:
      1. Right-click on the desktop and select “Personalize.”
